This seems like it's becoming a regular occurrence.  For my part I'll click on the "Mark Forum Read".  Is there anything that can be done from the Admin side to select a user and delete all his/her/it's posts?

i guess the first recourse is dont let a user post more than a few posts in the first few days or weeks like some sights do.. if that is even possible

I thought there was a block on for multiple posts within some very short amount of time.  Which I have actually triggered through normal use.  Which is probably a DSM-5 warning sign.

Suggestions:

1. Create a separate forum for hockey topics that have been dormant for 6 months or more; this would limit the number of "active" topics one has to search through
2. Limit the number of posts an individual user can make within a given time limit
3. Add a Captcha to all postings.

Thanks for offering constructive suggestions. I like 3 (as long as a human can read it) with a bit of 2 if it is a big number.

Some forums I use require a 30 to 60 second wait before they accept a second post from the same account. ELF could use this method or limit to something like 5 posts in a 30 minute interval.

during games there used to be lost of posts.. now we get a few follow ups after the game.

the is almost no logical reason for someone to post to all the threads either..  how about a limit to how many threads you can post to in some time frame.

Whatever I end up doing, it's going to require updating the forum software and along with that, the templates before I can implement some hurdles and my spare time is devoted to the CHN app rewrite so unbunch your panties.
