Thanks, posted

For all, I've decided to try and keep track of the dates of movements, up or down. So if you find a change, try and come up with the date.

Ryan logged over 21 minutes of ice time. Lots of nice comments about Ryan's performance on the Sharks' blog

After 2 games his ATOI > 20 is 4th on the team. Brent Burns averages nearly 30!

Moulson 6 games in without a point.

Nash 1 assist (on the PP?) in 5 GP.

Not playing, but still writing. Here's "The Globe and Mail" on Ken Dryden's new book, "Game Change: The Life and Death of Steve Montador, and the Future of Hockey". Nice read.

I guess this will be a mega-thread to replace the "Alumni in the Pros - " construction?

No reason not to return to the old format in November to make it more manageable.

My intent was for this to be as stated, where are they. Not what everyone is doing on any given night. However the Harvard thread seems to work okay and go on forever.

Just fabulous writing. On this the topic, but also useful in so many other discussions these days is Ken's sentence about science:

"It's also the story of science, of knowing better today than yesterday, but of never knowing for sure, because science never knows for sure, because what it knows today is only a placeholder for what it will know tomorrow."

Can't wait to read the book.

Turned on the TV when I got home tonight.  It was on NHL Network.  They were interviewing one of the San Jose broadcasters, and he was saying a lot of good things about Joakim Ryan.  Hopefully he does well tonight in NYC.

Went to the Phantoms game tonight against Springfield.  Bardreau was back (and played a lot).  Willcox also got decent ice time especially on the PK.  No sign of Buckles for Springfield.

Jeff Kubiak and Mitch Gillam are playing for the Worcester Railers, coached by former Cornell assistant coach Jamie Russell.
Mitch has played two games, a shutout and a 5-1 loss.
Jeff picked up his first fighting penalty and a game misconduct in that 5-1 loss, and has one assist in 3 games.

He's not on the Olympic team yet. This is a pre-Olympic tournament. We can assume if he plays well, though, that he'll have a good shot.
"We are bringing together a group of players who are on our radar for the upcoming Olympic Winter Games as part of our ongoing evaluation process, with the goal of fielding the best possible team next February," Burke said in a statement.

Watching the Phantoms game tonight.  The announcers have referred to Bardreau and Willcox as "The Cornell Connection" several times tonight.  ::banana::

This after Willcox had an assist on Bardreau's shorty last night, and they're playing together on the first PK team.
