No, but are you asking for our input?

I like Kaldis for MacFarlane and Weidner for MVP. Bauld is fast, but Kaldis looks great on end to end rush. Both should do wonderfully in the future, but we got to see a lot more skating from Kaldis.

Weidner was incomparable  on face-offs and blocked shots. Vanderlaan was very good, but in my mind we'd have fallen further without Weidner.

Considering what he had to do, you could also make a case for Rauter as MVP. But I'm happy where you put him.

I feel like you could easily switch Fiegel and Freschi and I wouldn't complain.

Fiegl played a supporting role, yes, but what did he actually contribute? I'd pick Matt Nuttle, Brendan Smith, Alex Rauter, even Beau Starrett or Holden Anderson before Fiegl. Vanderlaan gives you the same scrappiness and effort as Freschi, with much better results.

Skating Prowess: Kaldis

Supporting Role: Rauter. His role of shoring up the thin defense was enormous.

Most Respected Opponent: James de Haas, Clarkson. I'm pretty sure he put in 300 minutes of ice time against us, and was forged in the mold of the prototypical Cornell D-man. If he's on our team, we're close to invincible.

Continuing the Gage Award discussion, I think Brendan Smith would get the nod over the others, except I don't really see him in a supporting role. He's a stud on D and only saw limited time because of injuries. Same goes for Rauter. Poor guy was having a breakout year on O and had to be put back on the blue line because of injuries and did a stellar job there, too. The team wouldn't have gotten as far as they did if not for his versatility. It's either the opposite of "supporting role" or exactly that. Not sure which.

I'd select Brendan Smith based on the not-showing-up-in-the-box-score clause, but I feel like choosing a shutdown D-man isn't in the spirit of this award.  In that case, I'd pick Rauter--his ability to switch positions was certainly a "particular skill" that was hugely important
