"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

I stand by what I said

anyone care to explain how we scored 2 weeks worth of goals in one period?  good offense, bad defense, soft goals?

The goals were actually nice.  Good offense plus terrible defense.  I'll take it!

cp20

Hopefully we saved some for tomorrow night!

Trotsky

The last time we gave up 4 or more goals on the road in a playoff game and won was game 3 of the QF at RPI in 1998.  Oddly, the goal progression was exactly the same.

Cornell has been spectacularly successful in ECAC road playoff games.  Considering that by definition they were the underdog in all such games, their record of 13-10-2 is excellent; note also that one of those ties advanced them on total points in the series.

CAS

Bill, are you happy with our football and basketball programs, and the AD's oversight of those programs?

Quick, someone tell me. When was the last season when Cornell twice beat the team ranked #1 at the time?

Not during the period in which I have records of the poll rankings.  These are the only wins against the top 10 that I have in my records, although prior to the late 90's they are spotty.

It is possible we did it during Ned's Golden Age, except we were probably #1 for much of that period.  At some point the old polls will get put online (or I'll find someone with the treasure trove).

Did anyone else think the Q players celebrated extra obnoxiously after their goals?  God I hate this team.

lets hope the bigger physical team comes to play one more time

I guess I've never thought about this before, and I'm showing my ignorance, but what aspect of what rule allows for the goalie to return to the ice as a substitution after an icing when the team had the goalie pulled?

dag14

The goalie can always return to the ice as long as the player who replaced him is at the bench when the goalie goes back into the play.  The substitution is a little more rigid than changing on the fly.

fireschafer

Not living up to my name, I have to say, Schafer kept his job with this game. FINALLY a good offensive game for us.  No matter what the outcome yesterday, now I know there is still some good team there.
