So there is very good chance I won't be there tonight. Maybe if I suddenly start feeling better by 2PM, I'll drive straight to the rink, but doubtful.

Is there anyone out there who could bring and distribute newspapers? What about a couple of bags of Snickers Minis for the band and more to throw. I'd pay for the Snickers, but not for newspapers.:)

I figure that maybe if I take it easy today, I could feel well enough to go for #2 & #3, if needed.

Speaking from experience, take care of yourself.
If you cheer loud enough from home they might hear you!!
Hospital room, not so much.

Rest up and feel better.  We'll need you in Tampa.  ::crazy::

Westerners have no clue where eastern states are.  Dr. Mrs. still mixes up all the New England states.  As far as they're concerned it's like Greek city states -- yeah, you know there are a bunch of them, but they're all tiny and interchangeable and pretty much all of them are irrelevant anyway.  You'd be ashamed to feed a New England state to Arizona for more than a snack.

You could make a meal out of Maine but RI would just be the stuff stuck Az's teeth

I know this is last minute, but I just called the ticket office.  Despite the bleak picture painted online (SRO with just a few individual seats), they are selling tickets in the Q student section because the kids are on break.  We were able to get 4 seats together in Section 111.

It's definite, I'm not going to be there tonight. I have 3 tix, 2 at will call & 1 that I could probably scan and email. They're free if anyone wants them. Easiest and most direct would be to call my cell 315-877-1180. I've got to go to pharmacy sometime, but you can leave a message.

Anyone watching the Boxcast feed notice how low the announcers' volume is? The background volume is fine, the volume of the eighth grader who sang the national anthem was fine, but as soon as the announcers' feed was turned on the volume was just too low. I have my computer's volume cranked all the way up and the player's volume cranked all the way up, and I'm straining to hear. I informed Boxcast, and at first the rep seemed uninterested, but I managed to convince him to pass the information along. Supposedly.

It's not just me, right?

Yes, volume is low -- but I don't think you'll want to hear much from those guys anyway :-P

upprdeck

So why was the guy skating thru the crease into the goalie on a PP and then skating into the crease again not interference?  i know the relaxed the rules somewhat but he clearly was in the crease making contact before the shot?

upprdeck

we needed an A game out of Gillum. we actually score 2 goals and he lets in 3 soft ones, though he did stop the breakaway.

He does need to stand on his head -- we're just not going to get anywhere near the grade A chances that they do, so he's got to even that out some

Nothing spells victory like committing a cross-check during your last chance power play.

I don't care that he scored the first goal; I don't care how good he is on face-offs. I'd sit Weidner for taking that asinine penalty and for, generally, being a defensive liability.
