I'd have voted for a "round the bowl and down the hole" reference, but still very nice work!

Tonight's ECAC with Cornell preferences:

Brown (7) at Cornell (17)
Yale (21) at Colgate (10)
Princeton (8) at Clarkson (17)
Quinnipiac (28) at St. Lawrence (18)
Union (11) at Dartmouth (18)
RPI (18) at Harvard (21)

Rationale for the last one is our number one aim is a bye, so we can root for Yale and Harvard to beat our immediate competitors for 4th (RPI, Dartmouth, and the North Country).

Standings in the unlikely event that all above results held:

30 Qpc
23 Hvd
21 Yal
19 Cor

18 Drt
18 RPI
18 SLU
17 Clk

13 Uni
12 Cgt
10 Prn
07 Brn

Iceberg

About a week ago at one of the rinks nearby I was wearing my Cornell jersey and another guy was in the locker room with his kid. He asked me if I saw the game against Q on television. We talked about that for a little but he later talked to the kid about what kind of jersey I had on. The guy then quietly mentions to the kid that he went to Brown and they had a very bad hockey team.

Let's see if that prophecy holds true in an hour or so

Schafer still out,  Wow, that must have been a bad impact.

Luc Lalor (Loller, not La-Lore) debut tonight.  Otterman's the only one left,

Given that Otterman's playing lacrosse, I think we'll be waiting awhile for his debut on the ice.

He was proffering false hope. Arggh! That was a point that slipped away.

I thought Otterman gave up lacrosse to play hockey. He's on the current roster, isn't he?

Not sure if he's gone for good.  He is still on the hockey roster, whatever that means.

Lalor looked pretty good tonight.  Fine skater; still raw on timing and tactical play.  He damn near scored about 10 mins into the first period.

upprdeck

1 bad clear a game has set this team back half a dozen pts , why not just throw it in the seats if they cant get it past one D man

Gotta be more patient with the clear attempts.  Willcox chucked a puck up ice when he had a little bit more time (or so I thought).  Turnover, goal.

True.
My complaint is that they look bi-polar.
There are instances where they seem to overwhelm the opposition, then they relax, stop hitting, start puck watching and the situation reverses.
Very frustrating. You never can assume that they ever have the game in hand.

I noticed that after Brown's third goal Schafe' blew a fit and walked away from the glass. Don't blame him one bit.

upprdeck

it might be nice if just one game they converted the 6-7 chances from 2 ft for a goal and take some of the pressure off one game.

Only two such games in league this year -  Colgate and Clarkson.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."
