Quote from: jkahnPer Merrimack website, they'll be playing two at Cornell in 2015-16.

With BU, Providence and possibly BC, our OOC games will be heavily Hockey East.

Thanks, just need to know when and I'll post it.

Friday and Saturday 10/30, 10/31, home and home with Niagara.http://atlantichockeyonline.com/schedules/2015-16_schedule I take no responsibility if this disappears soon. :)

BTW, your days of the week in October don't correspond to their numbers.

Thanks, it only took 6 months for someone to notice that. :) So, is the 11/13-14 weekend for Colgate?

If all of this is true, I like this years openning schedule better than others we've had. Playing Niagara when they've alreay played 7 games, is a lot better than some other years.

Answering my own question, it looks like Colgate is home 11/13 & away 11/14

Official schedule has been released:

http://cornellbigred.com/news/2015/7/10/MICE_0710151926.aspx
http://cornellbigred.com/schedule.aspx?schedule=986&path=mhockey

The only updates to the schedule posted here that I see are that the exhibition games are vs. Ryerson & Laurentian and they are being played on Saturday/Sunday (Oct 24-25). An extra day of offseason waiting will be rough.

Who's Ryerson & Laurentian?

Am I the only one a little disappointed to see the Colgate series earlier on this year?  I know some consider this a "rivalry game" and in that spirit, I prefer this game played at the end of the season when it feels as though more is on the line.

I also think that it's CRITICAL we win 1 if not 2 of the games against Providence and BU.  These games towards the beginning of season will largely dictate morale going forward and forecast the rest of the season.

Ryerson & Laurentian are Canadian Universities:

    Ryerson University in Toronto
         Ryerson Men's Hockey
         They were  18-18 last season.

Laurentian University in Barrie and Sudbury
        Laurentian Men's Hockey
They were 14-9-3 last season after going 5-23 year before.

'Gate will be good and they will presumably have played more games, so in that regard I don't like it.

Well, they will only play one more game than we have but that includes exhibition games.  Disregarding exhibition games, the first game we play against them will be our 5th and their 9th.

I think the thing we should be more worried about is the level they will be playing at.  Their initial strength of schedule is no joke - Mercyhurst and Northeastern weren't bad last year, then they play two against RIT (who did well in the NCAA tournament), two games against Providence (the reigning champions), a game against Quinnipiac (consistently been a good team in the recent past), and then what I would call an "easier" game against Princeton before taking us on.

Comparatively, we have what appears to be some easy Canadian teams for exhibition games, then Niagra (who didn't do so well last year), and then similarly Princeton and Quinnipiac.  There's no question in my mind they will be playing a much tougher schedule leading up to the game against us and that is what has me concerned the most.  Being optimistic, I just hope we get things started off right with the first game being played at Lynah so we can hopefully get a 3-4 point weekend!
