Blockus is usually pretty good, as small-town sports writers go.  I sent him an email pointing out the mistake.  We'll see if he responds.

Also, the announcers on the Phantoms TV broadcast last night had some good things to say about Cole.  Too bad the game was so hard to watch (Syracuse 6 - Lehigh Valley 1).

He corrected it.

He also said that the interview took place in a locker room "full of music" and he could barely hear what Cole was saying.

Sounds like the Phil Spector " Wall of Sound" defense.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

That might have worked out better for Phil than the defense he used.

The "Nutty as a Fruitcake" defense was most applicable for Spector.

With Edmonton picking up Cam Talbot today for draft picks, Ben Scrivens is facing likely diminshed playing time with the Oilers, assuming no further deals.

Quote from: Mark Spector, sportsnet.caOilers fans will recall the gaudy numbers that Ben Scrivens posted as a backup with the Los Angeles Kings, after a similar stint as the Kings No. 1 when Jonathan Quick was injured, the same way Talbot carried the ball this season when Lundqvist went down for an extended period. Those numbers never made the flight to Edmonton with Scrivens, and that is exactly why Chiarelli found himself in the goalie market at this draft.

The Kings roster didn't make the flight with Scrivens, either.
