This is standard practice in Mann Library; it happens once or twice a year.  Cornell has classes in turf management and, if not entire sod farms, at east its own sod production so its not like the libraries are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to be a little imaginative.

And as far as I know, no one waters the grass....it lasts through finals and then disappears.

I think setting up "Puppy Rooms" would be a better way to help students destress.

And hey, I'm sure the pups would love to roll in that special Adironack grass.

I thought the grass lasted through graduation and reunion and then died.  Oh wait, that's a different set of temporary greenery.
