Wow, the Minutemen beat the Black Bears at Alfond, 5-3 with an ENG.

USCHO real-time PWR seems momentarily down. Anyone else able to see if this vaults us over Maine, however temporarily?

Happy in Amherst,

What's going on? Why do my posts say Section A now? I'm Avash '05!!!  ::worry::

Anyone know why this is happening?

EDIT: Okay, so I see it's fixed now, thus making this post void :-)

here are those new pairwise numbers, as we jump to 2.
if cc goes .500 this weekend, against denver, any chance of surpassing them in pwr (all we need is rpi)? i would guess we have a good chance at being #1 in the polls if that were to happen, at least.

1 Colorado College    34 24- 5- 5 0.7794  2 | 0.5984  1 | 29
 2 Cornell             29 24- 4- 1 0.8448  1 | 0.5924  2 | 28
 3 Maine               37 24- 8- 5 0.7162  5 | 0.5890  3 | 27
 4 Minnesota           35 19- 8- 8 0.6571 11 | 0.5872  4 | 26

Cornell vs Maine
 .5924 1 RPI 0 .5890
10-2-0 .8333 1 TUC 0 .6111 14-8-5
6-0-0 1.000 1 COp 0 .7500 4-1-1
0-1-0  0 H2H 1  1-0-0
  3 TOT 1

Well, about the only thing that's left over from the old forum is the smileys. I'll fix the names tomorrow.

Alrighty, thank you. No rush - good luck with fixing everything.

Now back to hockey...

Nice to see we're #2 in the PWR, but that probably won't last too long, will it?

And also, just imagine what must be going through the Maine players' heads right now. They're only 3-2 against a dangerous UMass team this year, and their backs are really going to be against the wall tomorrow night. Should be interesting, and I would bet that Doyle will start, not Howard.

Just ran it using JTW's script.  We would not pass CC with a CC-DU split, but with a DU sweep of CC we would.

Also looked at Maine coming back to win the series with UMass.  Other games will have an effect, but based on that series alone, Maine can't pass us this weekend.  We would still hold a .0001 lead in RPI.

SOS would make it possible for Maine to pass us next weekend, but man...they've been reeling.

What if DU gets 3 points against CC this weekend? Would we pass CC in the PWR?

Greg Berge

Why exactly has Maine hit the crapper (4-6-2 in their last 12, including 2 losses to UMass and a loss to Lowell)?

Colin Shields doesn't have a goal since Dec. 15. That can't be helping.

Does any of this help us?   If Maine falls out of #1, but Providence stays a #4 isn't the most likely new #1 UHN?  We would still end up playing PC to avoid a first round HE matchup.  It seems unlikely that Ferris could end up a #1, with a trip east as its "reward" (and a game against UAH as our reward.)
