Fabulous news!  We're attracting some oustanding talent [and size]!  Drop the puck!

Quote from: TrotskyIf true, the 2014 team will have the "McCarron Mountains": John 6-2, Patrick 6-3 and Mike 6-5.
Sounds like another nice intermediate step toward the eventual goal of having an entire team with the same last name.

We could do it in, say, 2035 if we get the next generation of Suters.

I think one of the fake programs the Cornell Lunatic put out had the entire team being named "Wilson."

In reality, it will be an entire team of Murphys, all in the same class.  Somehow.

Al DeFlorio

Closest we've come, best I recall, is Fergusons.  Worked out pretty well.::banana::

Swampy

Here's what Reel Hockey Scouting says about him:
Quote from: Reel Hockey ScoutingF): DOB: 03/07/95. 6'5, 225 lbs. Shoots right. Defensive minded forward with great size to bang bodies and create space. Rangy with athleticism and a never-ending reach.

Hulking skater with serviceable mobility. Has yet to fully coordinate with his size and still remains a bit off-balance and must become more firm in his boots. Does not turn quickly and must tighten his pivots.

Good vision. Does an exceptional job of putting pucks deep and is forceful and daunting upon his retrieval and support. Lacks control and strength with the puck. Can work it with reach when moving it up ice but needs to improve his tight quarters handy-work. Must become stronger on his stick. Is a beast in front of the opposing team's net.

Competes hard and can anticipate the flow of the game and the path of the puck. Great efforts without the puck with his long reach. Back-checks hard.

Michigan State committed ::burnout::. Drafted by the Belleville Bulls of the OHL in 2011. An extremely raw yet worthwhile prospect that projects to become a power forward in the professional ranks when he is drafted in 2013.

Sounds like our kind of guy.

This is a thing I care about. We need someone who can park himself in front of the goalie.

Sounds Babyesque.

"Hulking skater with serviceable mobility" is my favorite-ever euphemism for "he's pretty slow".

They definitely did; I tried to find a link to that roster but the Lunatic's online archive doesn't go back that far.

I've got an original copy, which I'll try to get around to scanning at some point.

I think that deconstructs it too much. I'd say "he's as fast as he needs to be." You know, like Prince Fielder.

"as fast as he needs to be" is the nicest way I've ever heard anyone describe Prince Fielder's foot speed.

Well if Prince Fielder can do this, who needs to be fast?
