18 shots on goal for Q in the third.
They had 4 PP chances including a 5x3 right at the start. The PK was perfect, but we can't give up that many penalties against better teams like BU.

Wisconsin beat RPI 8-2, BU beat UConn 4-2, and Mercyhurst (who we visit for two games the weekend after next) got another big win over Yale, winning 6-2.

I am bummed to have to miss the BU series. They should be playing a doubleheader at MSG.

The Rangers are playing Philly at 2 next Saturday, so they couldn't have scheduled a doubleheader.

I wasn't really being literal since scheduling is done in advance. I was just being wishful (and greedy).

Ben

Starting: Fulton, White, Karpenko, Fortino, Rougeau, with Mazz back in goal.

Ben

According to Coach Derraugh, Slebodnick suffered a concussion last weekend, so Pippy is backing up tonight. Slobes won't dress for either game this weekend.

Ben

We're dressing four full lines I think for the first time this season, but they're a bit different.

First line: Fulton-White-Karpenko

Second line: Campbell-Jenner-Leck

Third line: Johnston-Barley-Maloney-Saulnier

Fourth line: Hompe-Ogilvie-Cook

Six minutes in and we look pretty good so far. Shots 6-1 CU.

Ben

1-0 Red, Powerplay goal from Fulton, assists Fortino and Johnston at 14:28 in the first. 1 for 3 so for on the woman advantage against the best PK in the country (92%).

Ben

1-0 Red end of the first, shots 13-5 in favor of CU. Looking good, although BU improved a bit briefly after going a goal down. Several good chances, some good saves from Sperry, but we could be ahead by more. Mazz looks solid -- she had one acrobatic glove save at 0-0.

Well it looks like we're the only ones here as well.

2-0 Red, Johnston PPG from Rougeau. Funny sequence -- we weren't getting any traction on the PP, but Johnston flew down the right and then cut across the face of Sperry's goal and beat her on the back post.

Ben

2-1 BU on a bizarre goal. It looked like a shot from the slot bounced back off the end glass and Cardella stuck it in. But this is RedCast video, so I really don't know.

No assists given on LiveStats.

2-1 end of the second after a rash of penalties for both sides. We killed about a minute of 5 on 3 and (I think) will have a bit of PP time at the start of the third.

Jim Hyla

What a period, we're definitely the better team, but... Two man PP for each team, and we still have 40 sec. left on ours.
