And on our 2 man PK it looked like Karpenko, I think, had hurt her right hand, and was PKing with 1 hand on her stick.

After 2 periods, cornell leads 2-1.  The big story right now is the physicality and bad refereeing.  A secondary story is cornell not capitalizing on its chances, and they've had plenty of good ones.  Having watched almost all of their games this year so far, this is their most passionate effort.  In the first period, BU was able to match our speed for the most part, but it's evident that many of their players have slowed down at this stage.  Advantage: Cornell, but it's too close for comfort.

On the men's side SLU up 3-0 on M. Tech. HVD and Dmth 3-3. RPI 2-0 RIT. UVM 1-1 gate. All OK for us.

3-1 RED! Another PPG, Johnston from Jenner and Fortino, before the band was even finished singing Gary Glitter. I believe that makes us 3 of 6 on the PP.

It was Karps, but she's taking shifts in the third, so she's probably okay.

And that's a final, 3-1.  What an effort and focus by the Big Red tonight.  Very impressive.

3-1 Final. Big win after some dubious refereeing. Wakefield, BU's captain, spent 8 minutes in the box. Very good performance in spite of some shakiness on the PP.

I may miss out on tomorrow's game due to the Cornell Club of London's Thanksgiving posh-ness. Hopefully not.

Was Poulin playing for BU? I didn't hear her mentioned.

Well Ben, if you missed it, they made a statement, 7-1 over BU. Let's go men.

I watched the replay this morning. They were very impressive (as they almost always are). Between this weekend's games and next weekend's visit to Erie for two against Mercyhurst, we should have a much better idea of how good the team is relative to the rest of the country...except the WCHA. I've said it before, but we need to get games against Wisconsin, Minnesota, or North Dakota in our non-conference schedule in the next few years.

Whaddaya think, guys? Any trouble with #6 Mercyhurst this weekend? or more easy-ish wins a la (screw) BU?

Mercyhurst is good, but IMHO BU has a deeper roster and more overall talent.  If Cornell comes out strong, Cornell should win both games by a couple goals or more.

Big surprise: Saulnier wins ECAC Rookie of the Month for November.

Dartmouth will face Providence at Fenway on January 10. I'd like to see what kind of attendance they get for this game.
