This is "The Year," right?  I know they dominated last year before being upset in the NCAAs, but IIRC all the talk was about "and this is one year early."

The year they went to the finals was one year early. I expected 2 deep NCAA runs from the women, last year and this year (barring players leaving early, which isn't usually a major concern in non-olympic years). So we should see 3 in a row, and on paper I guess this is the best shot at a title for the senior class. I don't know enough about the recruits or the classes of 2013/2014 to project beyond this season - it's entirely possible that this team is actually getting *better* as time goes by, which would be amazing considering how good they've been the past couple of seasons and how much talent they've got right now.

Good for them, Team Canada, bad for us. Maybe Harvard lost some to US team.

Per BTD, Cornell has received a commitment from Anna Zorn for the 2012-2013 season. She is the younger sister of former Cornell captain Liz Zorn, and currently plays for the Ontario Hockey Academy.  Previously, she played for the Rochester Edge.  She has been selected for various USA Hockey's development camps over the years.

It looks like Cornell has three players lined up so far for 2012-2013:

Jessica Brown, F, Pittsburgh Penguins Elite U-19
Kelly Murray, D, The Edge School/Alberta U-18
Anna Zorn, F, Ontario Hockey Academy

I would imagine Cornell is still looking to bring in at least 2 more forwards, a defenseman and possibly a goalie for next season.

On an annoying note, it does not appear this Friday's game against Brampton will be available online via Redcast.

Kind of a Cornell version of Harvard.  Everyone gets a "C".

There is no such thing as a defensewoman.  She is a defenseman.

QuoteWhich foe? There are many.

She is on the roster for the Canadian National Team heading to 4 Nations (as shown a couple posts above), which would be considered THE Canadian National Team, as opposed to the U-22 or U-18 teams.  She has also previously played for the U-18 team.
