According to BR Puckhead, according to USHR:

"USHR reports Quinny's Ben Syer new AC at Cornell and Topher Scott looks likely to be the 2nd AC. Thoughts? Scottie off to Princeton."

With skates on.  Maybe.

I assume Garrow decided to move on and was not shown the door.  He was a great assistant.  This does ruin his best joke, though.

Or as I like to say, "He's 5'6" soaking wet."

Suspect he didn't get Associate position and felt he should move on.

My son plays on a team with a player whose Dad used to play at Quinnipiac before they jumped to D1.  He's a good guy and he's still close to the program and friendly with Rand Pecknold.  He has discussed Syer with Pecknold and he had nothing but good things to say about Syer.  It's tough to lose Casey but hopefully Syer will be a great recruiter and fit right in.  My source is usually spot on about all things Quinnipiac.......

Via ECAC site article from CollegeHockeyInc on Coach Schafer.

A couple of interesting quotes:
QuoteThe biggest win of your career?

Still looking for it.

An unsung hero in your program (on or off the ice)?

I'm sure most here have already read Elie's commentary, but here's the link for those who haven't.

IJ article on Scott Garrow leaving. It sounds like Garrow left on good terms and it's about broadening his experience to land a head coaching job:

The story also says that although the Garrow replacement position was just posted on Cornell's web page Tuesday and they expect to name someone next week.
