Although I helped out with copy editing last night, I didn't notice they were running this letter until I saw it in the paper this morning.

"Saluting the Lynah Faithful" is just a typical "thank you" letter to the student fans at the beginning of the season, but it is interesting that Patrick Kennedy was listed as an author, sharing the title with Schafer. If you are looking at the article on-line, you have to move your mouse over the author's name and click on it to see the full author description.

Does this indicate that the team has chosen their leader? I would say so. As of right now, there is no official announcement on Men's Icers' website yet.

Edit: News release of the official announcement below.

ACM

If you had been at the CHA picnic on Sunday afternoon, you would know who the co-captains for this season are.

I actually had that on my calendar, but was busy writing an article for that evening. Could someone throw me a bone here and let me know?

If there's a pool, put me down for Justin Milo.

So if one has things to do on a Sunday afternoon in September that preclude attendance at a picnic advertised to Hockey Boosters rather than the world at large, one is not permitted to know who will be a hockey team captain?  Give me a break.

And for those who live out of town, but still go to every home and at least half of the away games. Maybe we choose to spend some time with family, so you can't tell us? Come on.

Unless Art is away from his computer, methinks a bone has already been thrown your way.....::rolleyes::

Well, if it means "co-captains," i.e. there are two main captains, then my guess would be Kennedy and J. Devin. If "co-captains" means one main captain and alternate captains, then the letter would suggest Kennedy is the main captain and probably Devin and someone else are alternates.

It's still ambiguous in regards to who was actually elected.

Probably worth even more if you put the C on it. I hope he didn't sign that shoulder. . . ;)

I thought of that when I asked! The signature is on the right chest and the "C" would go on the left. :-D
