Coach Donahue and the Cornell men's basketball team are expected to arrive at Day Hall at about noon today for a welcome home rally.  All are encouraged to attend.

I don't know what they have planned today, but I was thinking the last couple of weeks -- and especially after last weekend -- how nice it would be to have a ceremony for this team à la the Lynah ceremony for the hockey team in 2003. Given that it is still spring break, scheduling some sort of ceremony in Newman after the students return is something I hope the athletic department considers.

I wish the team bus had driven directly to Albany. Can you imagine the hero's welcome when they walked into the TUC? I can certainly understand why they wouldn't do that, and know that the prospects of it happening existed only in my head, but still...
