Beanpot Final -- a BU win would help Cornell quite a bit.

Underway.

Don't we have something of a long losing streak against BC? Just wondering.

Quick - where's whelan when we need him.  After the Harvard win, we're .0004 behind UMinn in RPI.  Given that the Harvard win moved our RPI +.0003, surely a win by a team we've beaten twice over a team with a strong record would move us more than that - maybe +.0006?  If we go ahead of UMinn in RPI, that would give us sole possession of 3rd in PWR (as well as the USCHO poll).  Not too shabby!  Not to mention the effect it would have in solidifying our PWR comparison with BC.

Screw BC, Harvard too!

You can check my post in the NU/HU thread, but it's likely not to be twice as effective, since the Hahvahd win lifted the whole conference, which helped us more, but since we've played them twice, there's a decent chance.

Then again, Minn played BC, so just maybe ;-).

So I just saw the Beanpot scores on the Bottom Line on ESPN2 - I guess I just don't understand why the only times ESPN and ESPN2 pay any attention to college hockey is during the Beanpot tournament and the Frozen Four. Is there ever going to be a day when college hockey gets some national media coverage on a regular basis?

It makes me mad when my friend at Indiana talks about how great going to college basketball games is, but when I mention hockey, all I get from him is, "Okay...but I'm talking about a real sport."  :-(

DeltaOne81

Okay, if you can't come up with a dozen reasons why basketball's not a real sport, I think we can all help you out. :-D

Edit: 3-0 BU now, btw :-)

Meanwhile, Brett Hull just scored his 700th goal; and what a goal it was. Red Wings lead the Sharks 3-2 on ESPN2

End of 2. . .good game so far with some really stupid BU penalties.

Let's GO Red!!!!

Intermission diversion:

Shall we start out with the fact that the game is so offensively oriented that they actually disallowed one stretegy of defense because it lead to less dunks, etc? How about the fact that when two guys go after a ball, or go up into the air, the foul is called on the defensive guy 99.9% of the time. Or the fact the only way a defensive player can draw a penalty, is by not moving his feet... in a game based on a running, oh yeah, that's nice and fair. Or that they call traveling worse than the MLB calls a strike zone?

... back to your regularly scheduled broadcast

Ha, BU Fans on USCHO are complaining about Hansen's refereeing  ::yark::
