Sorry in advance for the shameless nature of this post, but if you're interested, here's my preview on CHN of all four ECAC quarterfinal series: http://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2010/03/11_ecacquarterfinal.php

And previews of all the other series mentioned above as well: http://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/tourneywatch.php

Should be a fun weekend.

Wow, Brown defeats Yale.  That's messed up.

Bemidji goes down in CHA semis. That's no good for any team on the bubble...

Cornell and Yale currently tied for 9 in PWR.  No doubt this will change ten more times tonight.

Quick scan of the evening's scores:
Home teams were losing in most conferences (awaiting WCHA results in particular).
Should really shake things up in the playoffs, and make for great internet listening.

In case anyone missed this new definition of sieve:

Quote from: ECAC RecapBrown wasted little time in grabbing a lead, as Buvinow scored just seven seconds after the second period's opening faceoff. Sophomore Jack Maclellan (Calgary, ALB) won the faceoff back to Buvinow on his right and the defenseman skated backwards with the puck and then up to the red line, firing a wrist shot through traffic from Brown's side of the redline. His shot sailed past everyone and beat Blase through the five-hole for the 1-0 lead.

Union with all kinds of chances in the 2nd OT, including on a PP.  I'm pulling for the Dutchmen, but given their history, it seems inevitable that they'll lose.

margolism

QU - Union going into the 6th period.

Q-Pac goes on the PP with about 5:30 left in the 2nd OT.  Doesn't bode well for U.
