Figured I'd start a new thread with info up to NCAA time.

According to the IJ, Whittman is Ivy POTY, Foote is D POTY, and Dale is on first team.

Poll added.

Guesses at what seed we'll get?  I've heard everything from a 10 to a 13.

John Feinstein on NPR Monday morning said we could be as high as a 9 seed!

John Fienstein is insane. There haven't been enough tourney upsets in one-bid conferences for that to happen. I expect a 12 and am really hoping for a 10. The Penn loss was sooooooooooo bad that it probably eliminated any chance of a 10. I expect Northern Iowa to get an 8 or 9 and they have much better good wins than Cornell does.

Old Dominion, Siena and Wichita State - at least - are better than any team that Cornell beat this year. In a way, UNI has the same problem that Cornell does - the BCS teams that it played and beat (Iowa and ISU, for example) are bad teams from good conferences; they also have a couple of terrible losses. But their conference is also better than the Ivy League, so their overall profile is considerably better.

The most impressive features of Cornell's record are Win% and "good losses" and that usually doesn't lead to a 10 seed.

I was referring to the unusual English "much better good wins", not to the specifics.:-O

Noted. I should have added scare quotes to "good wins".

Feinstein is almost more of a fan. I believe he covers the Patriot league and roots for the mid majors. He puts a mid major team in his #25 spot every week in the AP poll not because he thinks they should be in the top 25 but because they had a good week and deserved some recognition.

Wittman's in pretty good company here: http://www.theithacajournal.com/article/20100310/SPORTS03/3100363/1128

One would hope Donahue received some consideration for COY.
