Quote from: TrotskyHarvard being less useless than usual tonight, leading Yale 3-1 in the third.  The WHRB announcers are more mouth-breathier than usual -- one of them sounds like Peter Lorre as a teenager.

3-2 Final

Harvard beats Yale, helping us in conference, the Ivies and (eventually, maybe) the national polls.

Now in second in conference by percentage:

.833 Union
.722 Cornell
.667 Yale
.611 Colgate
.562 SLU
.556 RPI
.538 Quinnipiac

Tied with Yale for 1st in the Ivies:

.800 Cornell
.800 Yale
.500 Harvard

It'll likely be in the ECAC untill the NCAA tournament.  Unless Sucks manages to beat Dartmouth, Union, RPI, and Princeton.  If they can pull that off, it'll probably end up in Hockey East (via their loss to BC in the Beanpot).

Edit:  OK there are a couple ways that it can still go to HE, but they require almost as many Harvard wins as they currently have.

And Harvard Sucks!!!

It's really a shame that the ECAc lets everyone into the tournament because if they didn't we could hope for one of the bottom feeders to pull off a final game win and end up with the belt all the way though the playoffs.

That can currently only happen if one of the HEA teams that doesn't make the playoffs has The Belt at the end of the season. I add that there currently is an Alternate Belt that Wisconsin received when they defeated Yale in a shootout recently. The Belt, itself, doesn't transfer via shootouts.

judy

I love how all the scenarios on how the belt exits the league are by way of Harvard losing the belt to BC in the Beanpot. mwahahahahahaha
