To make matters worse, my RedCast crapped out at the faceoff with 28 seconds left in the game.

Please tell me that we tied it up and we are now in OT.

Huh?  In 2004, Cornell clobbered Clarkson in Game 1.

I also like how you've folded up your tent in a best-of-three after 1 game.

I just replayed Jason's call of the RPI goal, but it wasn't too descriptive other than went high glove side. Was Scriven's screened at all? Was it poor (no) reaction to the shot?

2007 maybe?

That I'll buy.  1-0 OT win by QU.  Shots were pretty even in that one 24-23 Q.

Sorry to be non-specific: I was simply referring to the prospect of losing in the quarterfinals, a feeling that is never good.  As Chris said, 2007 is another good example.

I haven't folded it up yet, but it doesn't signal good things when you lose to a bottom-feeder like RPI.

Does anyone know anything about this "save" from where I was sitting i clearly saw the puck past York sitting in the goal. Had the whistle already blown? How was that not a goal?!

On the other hand, if you have to go down a game in a best of three to someone you'd rather it be a bottom feeder.  There's no reason to think Cornell can't come back and win two in a row against RPI.

Here's to that.

His reflexes and gut instincts are excellent.  But I agree, he skates out of the net too far sometimes and once he comes well out of the net, he does do things that are unconventional.  With more self discipline, he could be really great next year.

Kyle - did you mean he should be benched after giving up one goal on 30+ shots 57 minutes into the game, or did you mean we should be skating 6x5?

I think you mean one goal on 10+ shots, since RPI had 14 shots the entire game.

I'm guessing he meant we should be 6x5, but that's just a guess.  :-)

what were the actual shot counts vs shots on goal.. thats more in showing the actual activity.. seemed like cornell had its usual ton of missed nets.

Haven't we been saying this, or at least thinking it, ever since he's worn a Big Red sweater? I would think that he should have had the discipline to be a little more cautious coming out of the net this season. Or at the very least after the Yale and Brown games two weeks ago.
