Future Cornell Wrestlers To Battle

Mike Nevinger and Kyle Dake will meet tonight for the NY State D2 championship. Nevinger has outscored his opponents this weekend 47-1; while Dake has outscored his opponents 18-0, with one pin.

Future teammate, Cody Hutcheson lost his bid to repeat when he fell to Tyler Beckwith (whom he had defeated in last year's final) in the semis. Hutcheson struggled in his wrestlebacks and finished in 5th.

Kyle Dake's younger brother, Corey, finished 4th in his first state appearance.

Dake wins the states for the second time with a 2-1 win. Great kid, he will be fun to watch at CU the next four years.

Good to hear...although that was a match that was tough for a Cornell fan -- wanted them each to win.
