Still more hockey from Mankato. 1st OT just ended, still 2-2.

Refs have lost their whistles again, much to the chagrin of the Maverick fans.
Yes, but that no call with Minny hooking MSU in the armpit should have been called. Even if you think MSU then held the stick, it was a hook. At least matching penalties. I think letting marginal penalties go is OK, but that was blatant.

This game won't end. The Maves just had two really good chances to end this, including a pretty wide open half of a net and the shot hit the post.

4:03 left in the 2OT.

Potential Gopher game-winning goal under review. Gopher Lucia was pushed into the crease and the puck went in. Goal is good. Dammit.

I think the Mavs deserved a better fate.

The gophers win. The goal wouldn't have gone in but a Mankato defender pushed a gopher into the goalie's leg pad while the puck was underneath it and it went in.

How will Colgate going instead of Clarkson affect Albany attendance?  How much free pizza will the Colgate administration have to give out to get the students to go all the way to Albany?

So much so that the Colgate students will be unable to lift that pizza.
Is next year here yet?

A sincere thanks, Drew.  Many of us here know what that feeling is like not making it to the league final 4 with the quality team you have.

Pretty stunning that there has only been 1 year in the past 11 where Cornell and Clarkson have both made the ECAC final four, and never in Albany (butting heads in earlier rounds makes it tough).  The way I see it, we're two fanbases that deserve each other's company this time of year.  There's enough beer in Albany for both of us one of these years...

Also, this gets us 1 behind you again in this race:

An amazing stat is which team is still in 4th.

Best of luck on your NCAA seeding.  Your season isn't over, and you'll have friends pulling for you in the tournament.

I was actually rooting for Clarkson and Quinny to make it this year.  Both schools have good travelling fanbases and it would have been nice to see the arena getting closer to capacity.

The flip side is, if there are enough Faithful, we can own the TUC.

Thanks Rich, we always have another incoming class,  I tend to feel sorry for the seniors every year.  I was looking forward to having a beer with some of you guys in Albany. Another time another place.
Cheers,
Drew

Ugh!  The sad part is that that's how I actually read "TUC" in Greg's original post.

Clearly, I need a weekend in Albany.
