Jack Parker is quoted in today's Ithaca Journal as saying the next game will be "Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at Agganis Arena".  This seems like it may be a typo, as I was under the impression (from previous Schafer/Parker comments) that the series would continue next season, and not take a year-off until 09-10.

Fwiw, Nov 28 is a Saturday in 2009. It's unlikely he got the year wrong.

I'd rather they not skip a year, too.

And November 28, 2008 is a Friday. Your point?

I assumed the point was that Parker was unlikely to get the year wrong when he was specific about the date and the day of the week.

That's disappointing, if true. Kind of strange that this agreement was finalized last spring, there was no scheduling issue this year, yet there are conflicts two years down the line?  You'd think that it would be easier to fit a game like this in the farther out you got.  But whatever, as Killer said, I'll be there when it happens.

Remember, BU has to find time to play Harvard 6 times a year.

There is indeed an off-year as far as the BU/Cornell series.

Parker at the press conference after the game (when asked about a possible return trip to MSG):

"We can't do it next year because we're both booked up with our schedules, but we'd like to come back here again. The next time we're supposed to play Cornell is this weekend, Thanksgiving Saturday, two years from now at our place. And then the third year it's supposed to go back to Lynah. So it's possible that we can bring this game back here two years from now."

With Harvard's OOC record, can you blame them?

Hate to say it, Fred, but I'm not especially happy with Cornell's OOC record as of today.:`-(

I had the sense he was subtly suggesting that the 2009 game could be moved from Agganis to MSG.

I read this as Parker saying "the next 2 in the series are supposed to be home and home, but since this was so successful, it's possible we could just bring it back here."
