Okay, this is ridiculous.  I jusst went to the downtown Boston movie theater to get tickets for Two Towers.  They, as of right now, are showing it on four screens.  All sold out....  I thought I was planning ahead.  Welcome to the equivalent of the Cornell Harvard game in Lynah East....

I thought that, other than the premieres, TTT opened Dec. 18.

Yup, Cornell Hockey and LOTR are my two longtime fan occupations. And they're both such successes!

I got my opening night ticket for TTT a week and a half ago, as soon as they went on sale.  Woohoo!!!

You could probably thank the advent of selling movie tickets online for your failure to purchase tickets, John.  That's the only way to do things nowadays.  Never underestimate the power of geeks with internet connections in mass quantities. :-P

Is next year here yet?

Don't those online tickets cost extra $$?

I think an extra buck or two, but if you're in a big city and you want to see a movie like this within a week of its opening, it's really the only way to go.  They'll sell out well in advance.

If it's any consolation, I'll be in Japan when LotR:TTT comes out.  It's currently 37 degrees in Kyoto.
