3-1 Princeton after the 1st quarter at Georgetown

In a slightly humorous note, the camera picked up the Hopkins coach in the stands at the game, in gray sweats and sunglasses.
Well considering that JHU-ND game ended after 11 pm...
Did he have a grungy baseball cap to complete "the look"? :-P
I recall him having a cap, but unfortunately its over half an hour later so I can't go back on my TiVo to confirm :)

4-4 at the half.

Princeton-G'town now 8-8 with less than 5 min to go.

3:09 now.  Why am I having so much trouble cheering for Princeton???

Cause they barely deserved to make the tournament? I know whatcha mean.

Liz '05

And they lost.  Georgetown 9-8 over Princeton.

Robb

well, so much for that moral dilemma..
Let's Go RED!

Georgetown wins 9-8 in OT... reminiscent of Siebald's GWG over Syracuse, just beat his defender and put it home

Robb

Yeah, only Siebald had many fewer options, since time was winding down.  Syracuse shoulda KNOWN Max was just going to bust a move, and Max schooled them anyway.

I have mixed feelings about the result.  Although I am generally loathe to root for Princeton, I have even a greater disdain for JHU, and Princeton would probably have a stronger shot to knock off JHU at home next week.

That being said, GT has a darn good chance next week.

5-1 Albany after the 1st quarter. Looking pretty good.

Al DeFlorio

Last year, UMass, Hofstra, and Cornell were all put in the same quarterfinal bracket, so only one had a shot at getting to the final four.  This year, it will be either Cornell or Albany--the two best "northern" teams.  Bummer.

Many of the so-called "experts" picked Loyola in this game. Must have really lit a fire for UA, as they are taking Loyola to the woodshed.  Certainly will put us on our toes, and there should be no reason for overconfidence.

And they also just spotted Tambroni and the other Cornell coaches at the Albany game.

10-3 Albany at the half - anyone wanna say now we got an easy draw?

In the fogged minds of some, if you're not playing someone from Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, or DC, you're playing an easy team.  Add Syracuse, I suppose.  Everyone else is a "cupcake."

Sorry, but is this because Hopkins' coach (Dave Pietramala) used to coach Cornell? I faintly remember him doing good things for the then mostly average lax teams in the late 90s.
