Not surprisingly, Cornell stays at #1.  Albany gets one of eleven first place votes, Cornell gets the rest.  (Oddly, it seems that last week there were ten voters and now there are eleven.)  Despite the loss, Duke holds at #5.  Teams on the schedule for the remainder of the year include #13 Syracuse, ARV Dartmouth, #8 Princeton and ARV Brown.

Over in DIII, Ithaca College is #8, up from #13 last week after wins over St. John Fisher and #11 Geneseo.

Seems like Hillel hasn't said anything about the lax team in a while. Perhaps he's worried that if he posts anything he'll jinx them? :-P

Must be tough on the redne -- sorry, Southern -- partisans that the No. 1 and No. 2 spots are Northern teams. But then no more North teams until 8 Princeton and 9 Army.

I'll be posting a midseason report sometime soon.

I'm not worried about jinxing them because I know that if I make two of the next three Nerf basketball free throws while sitting with my left ankle over my right ankle, Cornell will win. Oops, that shot didn't count.

Interesting that Cornell is second in average scoring per game (and third in average goals-against) but has no individual in the top 20 in points, goals, or assists.

On another note, LaxSwami appears to be MIA this week. After underestimating Cornell 3 of 4 weeks (he picked us over Army - and although he did pick us over Yale, he felt it would be quite close), and currently in last place in his own pick-em contest, he appears to be hiding away.

If you calculated the statistics as points per game or goals per game I think we would be represented in the top 20.
