The OSU ties it up with the goalie pulled late in the third.

The final is The OSU 2 - Miami 2 but I really think it is a win of sorts for the Buckeyes.  They have been sucking big time this year.  To tie the #4 team is a plus for them going into break.

For CSTV viewers who missed this, you may want to catch the replay of the third period and OT.  It was entertaining.  Casey Jones is seen laying out the plays for The OSU during the time out they called late in the third.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Bemidji rallied to beat Duluth tonight 6-5 in ot. The Beavers scored 3 in the last 9 minutes (including one with 29 seconds left, but not an EAG) to force OT. http://www.collegehockeystats.net/0607/boxes/mbmjmnd1.d09

Looks like those 3 goals in 9 minutes came at the end of the 2nd period, not the 3rd...

Right you are. I was fooled by too quick a glance at the USCHO box. Still a nice comeback for BSU.

I do feel slightly better on seeing this on the front page of USCHO now:
Two was the magic number Saturday, as Blaine Jarvis' second goal of the game gave Bemidji State a stunning 6-5 win and a series sweep of Minnesota-Duluth. The Beavers trailed by three halfway through the third period before igniting their comeback. ...
INCH, too:
... Duluth, Minn. (Saturday): Blaine Jarvis's overtime goal capped a furious Bemidji State rally as the Beavers beat Minnesota Duluth, 6-5, extending their unbeaten streak to seven games (5-0-2) in the process. BSU trailed 5-2 in the third period, but scored three times over the last 8:45 of regulation – the last was a Shane Holman goal with 29 seconds left in the period – to send the game into OT.

Union and Q trade ppg within 18 seconds in the final 3 minutes.  3-2, QU, late.

Princeton 6 RPI 2, final.
I just want to point out that with this loss RPI moved to 1-2-3 in the league and 4-5-6 overall.

How weird is that?

Liz '05

My goodness, RPI ties a lot.  I think someone did last year too...was it RPI then as well?

RichH

I credit sah67 for dubbing them "RPTie" this weekend.

They had 6 ties all of last season.  The NCAA record for ties in a season is by Mankato State in 2002-03 when they went 20-11-10.

Didn't think this warrants a new thread.
Two notable scores:

Union beat UML 4-3. Union is at UConn Sunday.

Michigan Tech (with coach Jamie Russell of course) beat NoDak 3-1 in REA to match their win total from last year. Rematch tomorrow.

Second time this year that the Michigan Tech goalie (Nolan) has missed out on his first career shutout thanks to an opponent's EAG! (Btw, front page story on CHN today is about Russell and Michigan Tech).

Haven't decided yet, but I'm thinking of catching the game at Bright tonight.  Any Boston-area people planning to go?

Sucks leading Dartmouth 3-2 midway in the 3rd.

Harvard would have been eliminated from the (unimportant) Ivy League title with a loss.

Results for teams that will be in Florida:
Western Michigan     5    at    Wayne State     7
Mercyhurst     1    at    Maine     1     ot

It's important to some of us. ::pop::

Dartmouth's loss extends Cornell's Ivy lead:
