macho lady

Well, it finally happened.  A prudish narc usher reported me to the hockey cops and I got warned at last Saturday's game not to "flip off" any more.  I wouldn't call the Lynah salute "flipping" exactly, but I don't want to split hairs.  So it's no more macho lady, or I get my fat gray old ass hauled out of Lynah in disgrace and WORSE stand to lose my season tickets.  Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Harvard game in a couple of weeks.  Bikini lady may show up for the third period.  No law against a t-shirt is there?

Want to fill in those of us who have no idea who she is?

She's a woman in section N (at least this year) who dances hilariously to Macho Man every time the band plays it.  She also wore the bikini T-shirt every once in a while last year, if anyone remembers (I guess similar to the "tuxedo t-shirt" most of us can picture.

To me, she's like the Zambo Man: another part of the Lynah atmosphere.  Every time my friends and I hear Macho Man being played, we look over to her.

When you say "flip off," were you shooting birds at the visiting bench? I can see the team wanting to stop that. Certainlly if the visiting coaches are complaining.

She's the only person who should be allowed to dance to Macho Man :)

Wait.. Lemme get this straight. Did they kick her out for doing the Macho Man dance or did they kick her out for flipping people off?

These are two VERY different things.

I totally agree.  Flipping people off is excusable :)

from what I saw, it was never actually flipping the other team off, just the general motion with her arms.

It was a distinct "up yours" motion with one arm in a fist shooting upwards towards the sky, halted only by the other arm at a perpendicular angle.

And it was beautiful. Thank you, Macho Lady for all you have given us over the past few years.

One of the greatest moments was when they brought her across the rink to sit in the front row of B during a game. I forget which year it was, but that was a lot of fun.

Well, as the guy at Union who yelled at me for doing that in front of his kids didn't realize, technically that is not "flipping off", so they should use the right term.
