Al, they mentioned on last Saturday's 'gate webcast that there would be no 'gate webcasts until Feb.xx (sometime after the Cornell series) as the home games before that date would be on local Time-Warner cable.

Don't really care about tonight, but that's too bad about next week. :-(

Is anyone having problems with the "buffering" thing?  The audio keeps on fading in and out and the video appears to freeze.  Darn!

LGR!

DisplacedCornellian

no problems with buffering here...but there is a rather loud buzzing noise.

puff

i had the buzzing myself for a while, now its gone.
seems to me kinds like the picture is a lil choppy. More so than last weekend atleast.

Does Starr sell out? Are the tickets priced too high for the locals? Isn't the point of the webcast to let alumni see the game?

I can't believe that TW would care about the webcast. Who would choose a webcast over a cable TV broadcast? (OK, I can believe it, but it would be dumb.)

Isn't the Colgate webcast taken from Colgate's campus TV broadcast?  Maybe they're not doing the campus broadcast when they're on TW, and XMI doesn't have a separate arrangement with them.

Well, according to XMI's site, the next "future broadcasts" or Mens' hockey is RPI/Union on Feb 18th/19th. Oh well, thought I'd be able to watch 6 games in a row. Although I really can't think its too much of a loss. I've heard the horrible student homers that do the Colgate broadcasts for about 10 seconds and that was 11 seconds too many.

Btw, can anyone explain the difference between XMI and I2Sports? I see that at least one employee name is the same, did they split off? What's the relationship? Anyone know?
