Nope, we don't want anybody but NoDak to win the NCHC.

good at holding a 1 goal lead in the 3rd period?

yup, PSU up 1-0 after two.

Nope. Now tied at 1.

Rita

after 1 OT, still tied at 1. The Michigan announcers are really happy that the tie will be resolved by "real hockey" and not the shoot-out that they use in the regular season. Go Lions!

Rita

According live box and twitter feeds, Penn State wins 2-1!.

The free michigan audio cut out after the first OT. Bummer about that, but the end result was sweet.

We are now #15 PWR, Michigan drops to #16

Using CHN, when I put the Penn State result in, CU is 15 and Michigan is 18.
In any case, losing three times to Penn State this year is not going to do Michigan any favors with the committee.

Lastly, for my wife's alma mater I say  LGR!
For my alma mater I say  We Are ... !

So dumb you have to keep repeating your own identity wherever you go?

Here's the background story behind Penn State's chant:

"In 1948, [Wallace] Triplett became the first African-American to play in the Cotton Bowl Classic, catching the tying touchdown in Penn State's 13-13 tie with Southern Methodist University. It has been suggested Penn State's now-famous 'We Are Penn State!' stadium cheer has its origins in SMU's request for a meeting to protest the participation of Penn State's two black players (Triplett and Hoggard). Team captain Steve Suhey was said to have responded, 'We are Penn State. There will be no meetings.'"

As further context, I should note that through the 1940's, when northern colleges played in the south, black players on the northern teams were not allowed to participate.  Penn State refused to comply.

Still possible to make it... though I think Cornell needs these exact results.

Union over Q drops Northeastern to 18, but puts us in at #15 also. Seems more than a little unlikely for everything to fall exactly into place at this point.

Looks like the window's already closed because of other results.

Since Cornell is out, I'm all for the underdog/bid-stealers in other conference. Let's see what a "hot" team that ran the table in their conference tournament can do in the NC$$. UNH, tOSU and Miami seem to be contenders.

I would like to see Colgate get in so that the ECAC has three representatives. I would like to see Michigan and Vermont knocked out.

Would a win in the cancelled game vs. Mass have had us in the 15 spot pending today's outcomes?

Don't want to know the answer. Please don't figure this out. Or if you do, only report if the answer is "it wouldn't have mattered."
