A former teammate of Brian Ferlin with the Indiana Ice, Christian Hilbrich committed for next year. He's 6'6" and 208lbs.

The USHL article points out that this year we have the largest number of USHL alums of any team in the conference. Quite a change from 6-7 years ago when the BCHL dominated our recruiting.

Stick him right in front of the crease and let the D-men try and clear him.  Should be fun to watch ::popcorn::

Either that or let him barrel right through the neutral zone and knock players down on his way (we need a bowling smiley).

Christian's older brother Tom, a defenseman, just committed to Quinnipiac. He's 6'7", 228 lbs.

Their parents must be _tiny_.

Didn't anybody tell him about Cornell's tradition for player brothers?
"Yo Paulie - I don't see no crowd gathering 'round you neither."

You joke, but it is a little odd for brothers to enter different schools at the same time.  Even if Tom couldn't get in, I'm more than a little surprised Christian didn't go with him.

Maybe they don't like each other.  ;)  (Either way, it will be interesting to see them match up as the two largest guys on the ice when we play Q.)

This may be snobbery talking* but if Tom couldn't get in to Cornell I think he'd have a hard time convincing his brother to go to Quinnipiac.

* Obviously it is snobbery talking
