There goes UND's contender status for next year.  Look for Parise to be with the Devils this week.

I'm willing to bet money that they'll still have "contender" status.

:-P Contender or pretender??? :-P Lately they light it up during the year and fail to get anything going in the
NCAA's (at least since the BC loss a few years back).
Let's GO Red!!!

What are the eligibility rules for the postseason?

Robb

According to the posters on USCHO, drafted players (which Parise was, of course) are eligible to play in the post season, but recent free-agent signees are not.

The team can draft you without your permission; no action required on the player's part. But signing, well, you're coming to an agreement to be a professional athlete. So you wait until the college season's over if you're planning to sign.

[/Q]I'm pretty sure the question was about the NHL playoffs. Parise doesn't have to worry about the NCAA's anymore.
