Thanks to all who helped keep this up to date. Note that the exhibition games are Sat & Sun, not Fri & Sat. I like this early season schedule. I think that since we start late, having games that allow us to develop is better than jumping into tough games against teams that have already played 2 or 4 games.

I'd like to see us play some tougher Ivies earlier on. Yale/Brown would be a good early weekend.

Any reason in particular?  I'm okay playing tougher Ivy teams earlier on, I just feel that we'd want to play some good (non-ECAC) teams before to prepare like Colgate is as I noted above.

Because Ivy rules put us on a level playing field. If we play some good (non-ECAC) teams, we typically have a structural disadvantage in terms of practice time, games played, etc. I'm all for playing tough competition, but we need to have a few games under our belt to be competitive. Good Ivy teams all have similar restrictions, so they're the ideal competition.

Or we could just go to the NCAA schedule rules.  The insistence on the smaller number of games is a joke, anyway.  It's only there so the Ivies can posture a bit.

Want to be really idealistic?  Hold the athletes to the same admission standards as the student body -- not en masse, but individually.  And takers?  (crickets)

the ivys punish their sports teams for reasons that really make no sense. not letting the fball players play for the title is a joke. they act like the hockey players show up 2-3 weeks later just because they start the season later.

But my point is that since changing the IL rules is very difficult, a certain approach to scheduling would lessen the negative impact of the rules.

Thanks, I had meant the "?" for when we'd play. However it was confusing and putting down your times makes more sense.

After posting I started wondering whether Cornell's time was the real question.
