Grateful Dead's Barton Hall concert (May 8, 1977) is among 25 sounds to be inducted into National Recording Registry.  The concert has been cited as one of their best performances ever. The recording was hailed for its sound quality.  On another musical note, Robert Moog, PhD '64, is honored with a playable Google Doodle today.
