At the end of the day, polls don't mean anything because it's all about the PairWise.
Very true, doesn't mean the recognition isn't nice. Let's just be glad they aren't using KRACH because PWR rates us much more favorably.
Still too early for the results of a given weekend to have much impact.  Voters are still stuck in their preconceived notions of how to rank the teams.  Sometime around mid season they'll really start paying attention to results.  And then they'll just align to the Pairwise.

Two interesting notes from the USCHO poll:

QuoteFor the first time in its history, Merrimack is the top-ranked team in the USCHO.com Division I Men's Poll.

...

In a side note, North Dakota did not receive any votes this week, ending a streak of 223 straight USCHO.com Division I Men's Polls in which the Sioux received votes.

Which itself only matters one day a year.

Just win (preferably in April) and the rest takes care of itself.
Good point.  I really don't care how the team does at any other point in the season if they're 2-0 in April.
