Cornell women continue at #8 in their poll.

ND games could put us back to top 5 or probably out of the top 12 if we play poorly.

We're 20-somethingth in the pairwise.  Amazing how we continue to stay top ten in the polls.

Wait...I'm asking for logic from the polls.

Never mind.

I saw Union play against Army on Saturday night.  They won 2-1 in OT and looked very good to me.  Army isn't great, but they're a decent team - a bit small but they skate well and their goalie was excellent.  Union dominated two of the three periods and OT, outshooting Army 41 shots to just 19.  I don't know for sure, having just seen one game of theirs, but given upperclassmen depth and balanced scoring I'm curious if they could be a real factor this year in the ECAC (regular season or tourney) and make the NCAA's for the first time.

When was the last time before this year that neither The Goofers nor (Screw)BU were even in "Others Receiving Votes???"

For what it's worth, I thought Union was clearly the better team when we played over there. They can certainly make some noise in the postseason. Last year, they finally got past the winning-a-playoff-series hurdle, but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes them another 10 years to actually get to Alb--Atlantic City.
