I hate Gerbe, but the kid has skill.

Hat trick before the half way point of the game? a shorty, PP, and 5x5 goal... unreal.

I hate BC, but I hate NoDak more.

The North Dakota defense looks awful, too.

It's 5-0 now.

6-0 end of 2nd.  UND looks terrible.  Gerbe appears to be the real deal!  Hat  trick and a nifty 2 on 1 pass for an assist.

Well, we're not the only ones complaining we don't have finishers.
Quote from: From the Sioux boardWe complain about WCHA referees(and by we, I am including myself), but the WCHA programs are just as guilty as the Shepherds. Seriously, how many of the players on our team would York watch stagger up and down the ice and whiff on slap shots before he finally pissed his pants in laughter? Maybe, just maybe scoring is down in the league because we've gotten to the point that we're satisfied with forwards who couldn't score on an empty net, but play physical, hard-nosed hockey. Back in the day, you still had to have guys like that, but they were the exception, not the rule. I understand you need players who can do the dirty work, but if 95% of your team is doing the dirty work, who the hell is going to put the puck in the net?

What's even more amazing is that Gerbe is the smallest guy in BC's roster, at 5'6, 160 lbs according to uscho.

While watching the Michigan-Notre Dame game, the cameras showed the Notre Dame penalty box and I saw someone in a white Cornell jersey in the first row behind the glass.  It's nice to have SOME representation at the Frozen Four.

We all (meaning the dozen of us eLFers who are representing Cornell at the Frozen Four) noticed her as well.  I don't think the camera has shown anything above the "Cornell" on her sweatshirt, but in person from the other side of the arena you can see it's definitely a woman with long hair.  She may not even know she's been on TV several times.

Mystery Solved:  It was Susie (see http://elf.elynah.com/read.php?1,130720), not an unknown extra Cornellian.  She and her dad won a "seat upgrade" right before the second semifinal, to seats right behind the Notre Dame penalty box.

Boy, you don't realize just how small Gerbe is until you see him next to someone:
