Huggy Bear copyright violation?

Since I'm one of the haters of the Huggy Bear CU Athletics logo (more for love of "leany-bear" than anything else), I can't believe I was somewhat upset when I happened to see the below item in an Old Navy.  

Sure, it's some sort of member of the cat family instead of a bear, but the positioning of the arms and the red block letter make me think that it's more than coincidence.



There are 3 other styles.  A "T" with a tiger, a "B" with a Beaver (+ hockey stick!), and a W with what appears to be a wolf that is reminiscent of the UVM logo.  Click on the colors to see them on the below link:
