These pro-Denver announcers are the worst.

I can say with pretty good certainty that if season tickets cost $250 when I was in college (14 years ago), I would not have purchased them.

Ehh.. Even if it was, I have never understood people getting offended by someone running up the score. Play better if you don't want it to happen.

To their credit. That was a genuine apology. Not a "We're sorry you got offended" apology which is much more common. Good for them.

I hate Harvard as much as the next guy, but... Who cares?

I mean, I recall quite a few blowout hockey wins, where the faithful where still screaming "We want more" after the Nth goal.

If you don't want Harvard to score. Play better. And if you think winning 17-7 or 24-7 doesn't matter, then why are you bitching about it anyway?

This is one of those few times where I truly think a DQ is not enough. If you compare this type of thing with the NHL's penalties as of late (Thornton for example), a multiple game penalty should be awarded.

Quote from: DafatoneIn high school, a physics teacher would curve his tests based on how smart he thought you were.  I once got a 60 that turned into an 85, while the girl next to me got a 65 that turned into an 80.

Best part is that she was smarter than me.

I'm quite surprised this did not turn into a full on discrimination lawsuit.

Am I the only person who really loves our style of Hockey? The vision I have of the 2003 team was not our good goal scoring, it was watching a player shoot the puck and then seeing three Cornell skaters slide into it's path as if we had four goalies. It was fantastic, and I've never seen another school be so dynamic at defense.

I'll take that over high scoring breakaway heavy games any day. 5 on 5 hockey with all the strategy that entails is where it's at. What's so interesting about a breakaway?

On another note: WOOO!! YALE!!!

Quote from: BearLoverIt is unfortunate you derive such pleasure from something that will ultimately hurt Cornell, blah blah blah blah blah blah

Stop talking in extremes.  Cornell doesn't suck.  Nothing short of winning a championship is going to undo this damage, and that task just got considerably harder.

Strongly disagree with your basic premise. Go Yale!

I for one am really happy Harvard won...

My order of cheering:

Cornell
Ivy's not Harvard
ECAC teams (Hockey only)
Harvard
Other non-merit-scholarship schools
Closest school to my home in Boston
Special bottom exception for schools with no shame due to scandals or lack of graduation requirements (Duke, Kentucky, Notre Dame)

I feel like somebody looked this up forever ago to no avail.
Andrew McNiven was in the engineering school. Don't ask me why I remember that.

I know why I remember that. As an engineer I always cheered for him the loudest :-).

I stand by my belief that matching financial aid is a not need-based, but merit-based. And works against Cornell's core principles. I would much rather have 20M on the regular financial aid pool benefiting all students, not just the ones who got into Harvard.

Quote from: Kyle RoseYou can get something 10x better than RedCast with a very cheap consumer video camera and free software. Age did it TEN YEARS AGO, back when streaming video was still pretty immature.

Here's the key to everything. Age did it, 10 years ago. For free. And it was way better than RedCast. Cornell decided to kick Age out and contract an inferior service - then charge us for it. So we can argue back an forth about what Cornell can afford or cannot afford.. Except we know what we had and they choose not to use it.

So do you guys get your money back when this happens?

Edit: Apparently eLynah thinks the above message is SPAM. That's weird.
