Quote from: 617BigRedI remember wanting to go to that UNH game up in Durham that year but didnt, maybe because of a big snowstorm?

I dont recall losing to them in the NCAAs later that season.

I do recall losing to them in Buffalo, since I was there, my sophomore year...

There was a huge snowstorm. I recall driving home with my then girlfriend (now wife) and being genuinely terrified.

The first round NCAA loss to UNH was the same weekend as basketball in the sweet 16 vs Kentucky.

Quote from: snert1288Obviously the games from your college days always stand out. But, this one felt like Northeastern in 2009. Will remember both of them (and many others) for a long time.

Greening scored to tie with 4-5 mins left

Evan Barlow gives us the lead with 18 seconds to go https://youtu.be/vsBkQUEcudw?si=o_dytZ8MNQSoFeIN

Somehow solved Thiessen that day. Hobey Baker finalist. Hockey East POTY

triggered by memories of the next game

Time to flip the script

Wow!!! My 4 year old has only taken an interest in watching with me over the last month or so. He likes all the winning. "Cornell always wins and sometimes they throw their helmets and get a trophy"

May this always be true for him!!

This game feels like a lot of unforced errors. Eye test shows we are the better team. Need a big third period.

Is the camera work different tonight than last night? Feels like I am watching from 10,000 feet. Or my eyesight is just going

The site also has us listed at 5-1 in conference. Should someone send RPI and Union a welcome basket?

Snodgrass is also lucky that not many Cornell students are studying Urology (at least not yet..) because Snodgrass is a very popular technique for repairing hypospadias. I can only imagine the taunts...

Quote from: TrotskyI'll bet that 9-goal game Friday made a handful of kids Cornell fans for life.

That's how it's worked for me... I went to my first CU games (as a teenager) during Ned's tenure.   9-1 games were not uncommon....  I was quickly hooked!!

My first game was a 1-0 win at Princeton to start 2008 season. The first of Scrivens' pair of shut outs to start the season. 9-1 wins are better for blood pressure

One of the best games in Cornell history, IMO. Princeton was 8th in the country and the defending champions, and if my memory serves me correctly Cornell likely had to win this game to make the NCAAs. Barlow's coast-to-coast goal with under 3 to play is possibly the prettiest Cornell goal I've ever seen, and then Riley sent it to OT with 25 seconds remaining. Greening's second-OT rip put the Red into the championship game and the NCAA tournament.

Zane Kalemba was also having an outstanding year that season. Don't remember exactly but he was one of national leaders in GAA and save pct. Of course, that would all change after facing U Minnesota-Duluth in NCAAs after which he was never the same.

Matt Galajda with back to back shut outs and a scoreless streak just over 160 minutes (and counting). Very impressive for this freshman against a good Colgate team. The wins are most important but I love the sense of quality goaltending continuing in to our future.

Not sure where to post this or if they have been teaming up every year. But, Garman and Scrivens are running a goalie camp!
