I'm ready to crush Princeton's heart this period. They have hope; but we are stronger, faster, better. Just like Zane Kalemba in 2009, it's time to ruin Arthur Smith forever.

I dont recall losing to them in the NCAAs later that season.
I do recall losing to them in Buffalo, since I was there, my sophomore year...
Quote from: adamwQuote from: snert1288Obviously the games from your college days always stand out. But, this one felt like Northeastern in 2009. Will remember both of them (and many others) for a long time.
Greening scored to tie with 4-5 mins left

Quote from: rediceQuote from: TrotskyI'll bet that 9-goal game Friday made a handful of kids Cornell fans for life.
That's how it's worked for me... I went to my first CU games (as a teenager) during Ned's tenure. 9-1 games were not uncommon.... I was quickly hooked!!
Quote from: BearLoverQuote from: TrotskyMemory lane: Cornell's only prior SF vs Princeton. One of the best games in Cornell history, IMO. Princeton was 8th in the country and the defending champions, and if my memory serves me correctly Cornell likely had to win this game to make the NCAAs. Barlow's coast-to-coast goal with under 3 to play is possibly the prettiest Cornell goal I've ever seen, and then Riley sent it to OT with 25 seconds remaining. Greening's second-OT rip put the Red into the championship game and the NCAA tournament.
