I just spoke to someone at Directv.  She said if Altitude alternate is not broadcasting to DirecTV, there's nothing they can do.  She said I can try calling Altitude.

This doesn't give me confidence for our game.  ::help::

We'll see if it magically appears at 5pm Eastern.

Yes - can anyone confirm that Ship of Fools gets the Altitude network?

 Here's another point.

Altitude alternate is carrying UNH vs. Harvard on Saturday right before our game. So if you call at 1:30 on Saturday and see if they can get the Harvard/UNH game on 658. If they do, that's even better news.[/q]

We should know Friday, right?  They are scheduled to broadcast BC/Mercyhurst in the afternoon.

Also, sports bars do have to purchase Altitude separately:

So is it possible that from an NCAA seeding perspective, Cornell is better off getting to but losing the ECAC final?  Assuming they could still retain a #1 seed, this would make the last 3 seeds the ECAC, CHA, and MAAC tourney winners.

This would decrease our odds of playing Providence in the first round and increase our odds of playing the CHA/MAAC to avoid a 1st round intraconference matchup with the ECAC team.

Not saying I want them to lose, just food for thought.

After living in Long Island, Ithaca, and NJ, I'd say Jersey drivers are above average.  You still gotta watch out for those SUV drivers that *think* they can drive normally in the snow.

Looks like I will be there with a few friends getting SRO tix.  My first live game since last year's game @ Princeton.  Can't wait!

Anyone drinking locally somewhere after the game?

Also, for those travelling, there are 1-3" of snow expected tonight with another 1-3" tomorrow.

The only way there could be more sucking is if someone invites the Rangers.  :-D

Beeeej,

I'd go see the Devils, especially if they're playing the Isles!  Although, I haven't seen the Nieuwendyk trade anywhere.  Anyone have a link?

We were at the 10 West Bistro Sportz Bar & Grille (in the Ramada Inn) on Route 10 in East Hanover last night and will be back again tonight.  I'm going to try and get us a corner and maybe even have the sound up.

Let's Go Red!

Cornell connection vs.  "long association with the Rangers" - I'm very torn.
