quickrabbit5 Rita Hey all, If you had a REDCAST subscription from last year that hasn't yet expired, it is valid and supposedly active on the ILDN. That is a way to try out the new system before re-upping for another year. Also the customer support guy I talked to said there should be a small box somewhere on the account page to deactivate the auto-renew function when you sign up for an ILDN sby Rita - Hockey

Re: UNO - 10 years ago
Jim Hyla USCHO picks us to split with UNO. No. 19 Cornell at Nebraska-Omaha Candace: The Mavericks have looked very inconsistent to start the year, but have two weekends under their belt. Meanwhile, this is the season opener for Cornell. I’m thinking split. Nebraska-Omaha 4-2, Cornell 4-2 Matthew: UNO has been up-and-down so far this season and is having serious issues staying out of the boxby Rita - Hockey
Re: Top Ten Band Playlist of All Time - 10 years ago
TimV While reading the thread on Top Ten Lynah TraditionsI thought A list of Top Ten Band songs of all time, would be fun. Maybe add a little Kasey Kasem: "This Kansas song was added to the repertoire when a bandmember's father chastised him for his habitual hockey road trips and his proclivity for besotted overnights on strangers' couches. Trotsky Chris '03 Trotsky I was going to post after the York game, assuming it is streamed. Both men's and women's games are on the schedule at least: Yep. The CU preview says the radio call will be on the stream too, so this will be a good test. Does this mean that the exhibition game (and also the women's game?) will be carried by WHCU radio? I just may opt to stream the free WHCU audio anby Rita - Hockey
Re: 2015-18 Frozen Four Bids - 10 years ago
RichH Boston, not having hosted since 2004, can pretty much sneeze on a napkin and get a bid this time around. I like Buffalo's odds, given the number of hosting entities behind the bid and more development in downtown. Also, knowing that Sabres owner Terry Pegula has been a HUGE benefactor of college hockey the past two years, single-handedly building new arenas for Canisius and Penn State, aby Rita - Hockey

jkahn Jim Hyla Jordan 04 jkahn Douglas Murray is out 4-6 weeks with an undisclosed injury. Not even which body it's in -- upper or lower? Check the link, it's all there. The article has been updated since Jordan and I posted. It originally said "undisclosed injury" but now says it's upper body. But it also mentions that he missed the pre-season due to a lower body injury. Soundby Rita - Hockey

sah67 Just a few alum-related updates from NHL training camps: -Riley Nash and Sean Collins look to have shored up spots on the opening night rosters for Carolina and Columbus, respectively. -Greg Miller remains on the training camp roster for the Islanders, but is likely to be sent down to Bridgeport before opening night. -Nick D'Agostino was sent down to Wilkes-Barre by the Penguins earlieby Rita - Hockey

Rita The Hyphen is at the Florida Panther camp auditioning for one of their goalie position. I gather it is kind of a position of need considering that Florida has inquired about Tim Thomas. The inquiry period has ended. Tim Thomas is now a Panther. The Hyphen was assigned to San Antonio of the AHL. The Panthers have a new owner. Re: What is your definition of a Successful Season - 10 years ago
For both teams: top four in the ECAC, making the conference semi-finals and making the NC$$ tourney. For the boys, also include more discipline with respect to committing fewer penalties.by Rita - Hockey
Re: What is your definition of a Successful Season - 10 years ago
Jim Hyla Men: LP Women: 1 or 2 in ECAC and get into NCAAs. I think you're asking too much for the women to always make the FF. There are getting to be too many good teams. However, it is an Olympic year, so a lot of teams (Minnesota, Duluth, Wisconsin) might be missing their top players. Didn't some of that contribute to our magical run in 2010? Colin Greening and the Senators were eliminated from the NHL playoffs tonight . Colin had an assist on the Sens "too little too late" 2nd goal. It would be kind of ironic if the finals are the Pens v. Sharks.by Rita - Hockey
Re: FF Semi vs. Duke - on Satellite Radio - 10 years ago
FYI for those of you spending time in your car on Saturday. Sirius/XM satellite radio will be broadcasting the college lax semis and final on their College Sports Station, channel 91 on XM (not sure what channel if you have a Sirius radio). It is also available on the internet (you can sign up for a trial version if you don't have the internet version of satellite radio).by Rita - Other Sports

Beeeej For reasons I can't begin to fathom, Cornell's men's hockey games at Dartmouth and Harvard this past February 15 & 16 respectively are currently airing on Fox College Sports Atlantic (Dartmouth started at 11am EDT and is 2/3 over; Harvard will air at 1:30pm EDT). RatushnyFan I thought he looked good all game. Great job of controlling rebounds and getting passes off to his teammates, including the point, for scoring chances. He's doing a great job. When he was coming off the ice after the OT gwg, I noticed that Colin had blood on face (I thought big senator goals involved losing a tooth) and we got Craig Anderson for a post-game interview.
