Re: HARVARD SUCKS - 11 years ago
Ronald '09 Bill released Ryan Fitzpatrick. But he's still getting paid a ton. I wonder if that was the plan all along, or if the recorded phone call expedited his departure.by Jordan 04 - Hockey

Josh '99 marty Jim Hyla Jordan 04 113 seems like someone missed typing a digit. While obviously poorly attended, it seemed at least 1/3 full on the webcast. Maybe the first 1 is wrong, but it wasn't 1113. 713?The box score on collegehockeystats.net says it was 1130. Vindication!by Jordan 04 - Hockey

Trotsky The audio isn't nothing, and that's what we have really paid for -- access to the audio stream. If they advertise video, then we're paying for video. (That's the royal we, since I haven't given them my money in a few years because of the quality issues. I'm surprised so many keep forking over the fee year after year.)by Jordan 04 - Hockey

Thomas Larson Trotsky TowerroadThe RPI product is good, very good. If this was a hockey game the score would be RPI 6 Redcast 0. (thank heavens it is not)Not surprised. Who do we have to blow to wake Cornell up to reality? Redcast is a Model T trying to compete in F-1. Okay, serious answers now. Not hyperbole. How much would you ACTUALLY pay to get this quality video at our home games for a sby Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Cornell - Princeton - 11 years ago
toddlose Doubt anyone noticed..... Princeton drowned out our alma mater. They played Huey Lewis. Are they smart enough to do that??? We definitely noticed at the rink. It was done quite intentionally. Somebody cut the music a few bars into Alma (as they had been doing frequently for the band through the night, to their credit), then a few more bars into the song, they turned the music back on.by Jordan 04 - Hockey

Re: ECAC Playoff Series on the Road - 11 years ago
Trotsky Of course, the one trip to Princeton is not a happy memory. In a "first team to 3 points" series, after coming from 4-1 down to tie the opener, Cornell led midway through the decisive second game 4-1. Then, this. Wow. While I certainly remember the loss, I had no recollection of that 3rd period.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Princeton Roll Call - 11 years ago
Are the "Cornell sections" still in the 101-104 area? Their online ticketing system is defaulting to the opposite corner -- 119. Presumably there will be plenty of room to move around.by Jordan 04 - Hockey

Trotsky Matt Moulson 11-14-25 through 23 GP after his ppg tonight. He makes that Tavares guy on his line look really good.by Jordan 04 - Hockey

No doubt what the Princeton coaches did was very smart. Great move, that many would not make.by Jordan 04 - Hockey

Video is up If you want to know what utter devastation looks like (in very low resolution), just watch the Colgate players frozen around the net after the game-winner. What an awful weekend.by Jordan 04 - Hockey

Ken711 Disappointing season. I'll give Courtney another year to at least be above at or above a .500 record, or start looking for another coach. Maybe Steve Donahue will become available.by Jordan 04 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell hockey at MSG every year - 11 years ago
marty Jordan 04 Annoying that they put tickets on sale nearly 9 months before the event. Or if you are a die hard fan it's your chance to get tickets before the facetimers. It is; I don't find those to be mutually exclusive.by Jordan 04 - Hockey

French Rage Apparently the big money maker at a Shark's charity auction was a "culinary experience with Doug Murray"; I'm curious as to what that entails. You drink from an Uber Tap?by Jordan 04 - Hockey

dag14 I was not at the game but watched on TV. I am not really sure how to evaluate AJ's game. He made some spectacular saves in the first half, when the game was close. He was a different goalie in the second half but I am not completely sure why. He was left hanging out to dry by his defense on a couple of those second half goals, but the difference in his stats can't be attributed only toby Jordan 04 - Other Sports

Moulson with two PP goals so far with 3 minutes left in the 2nd. His team is losing, however, as he plays for the Islanders.by Jordan 04 - Hockey

The entire twitter account is dedicated to dopey stats. It's clear the staff has some fun with it. And if you ever hear a Nets pre-game show, you can see how the Twitter feed fits the personality of the head of PR.by Jordan 04 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell @ Hahvahd - 11 years ago
Hard to blame the ref on the whistle. The puck barely squirted away from Girard, and it's clear the angle was such that the ref never saw the puck. There was actually a poorer quick whistle on that same end. I forget when exactly, but Girard failed to cleanly swallow a Cornell shot, and a pretty decent rebound came out in front, but the play had been blown dead by the ref who presumably lost sigby Jordan 04 - Hockey

Josh '99 Trotsky 3 is a lot for Schafer. I wonder if any are wavering and this is insurance. OTOH, we haven't had a really gripping goalie controversy since D'Alessio-Crozier. I thought Underhill-LeNeveu was a pretty gripping seesaw, though "controversy" maybe isn't the right word since (if I recall correctly) everyone knew that they were both good options.
