Cornell 16, Binghamton 3 - Men's lacrosse - 18 years ago
Dominant performance by Cornell. Game started with the first three minutes or so played in the CU end. Cornell got it started on a man up and reeled off three goals quickly. Binghamton came back with their first goal but CU got that goal right back. The first quarter ended 4-1 Cornell. Second quarter was all CU - nine consecutive goals - ending with the score 13-1. Re: McKee: the solution to USA hockey's problems? - 18 years ago
nyc94As much as we hate the Gophers, the US should just send Minnesota to the games. They will have been playing as a team for years and are comprised primarily of Americans. And they are used to the Olympic ice surface.by peterg - Hockey

Hillel HoffmannI hope someone will go to the Hopkins scrimmage this weekend and post observations. Wish I could be there. I didn't get over to watch but spoke with someone who was there. The person I spoke with said it was definitely played as a scrimmage - everyone played for both teams, lots of different combinations - so people should take the "result" for what scrimmage scores arby peterg - Other Sports

RichSRita, Has then lighting been upgraded since '76? Back then, when we played against SU, it was like skating in a cave, it was so bad. As a goalie, I had a lot of trouble following the puck on long shots as they went into and out of the shadows. One slapper I never saw clearly whizzed past my head, bounced off the wire fence above the end boards, rebounded and hit me off the shouldby peterg - Hockey
Re: Ithaca Journal on Lynah Renovations - 18 years ago
Others on this forum seem to have a lot of the details which have been kicking around now for a while (several posts last spring, I think, mentioned that people had seen copies of plans). The City Planning Board minutes for the December meeting are not yet on line, so there is no indication whether they post a copy of the plans. Re: CU Football vs. Penn (W16-7) postgame comments) - 18 years ago
Just a word of congratulations to the football seniors who can proudly say that they are leaving a football "program" on the rise. Those guys who stuck with it and worked so hard for four (and some for five) years have a lot to be proud of, even if some of the fans here think it should have been a better year. Maybe that would explain why they don't fit the "college radio station mold".
