Harvard takes down Glover and the ref tries his hardest not to call it, but Schafer yells and gets it.by Tub(a) - Hockey

Harvard already appears to be in the "immediate icing" defense.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell 0, Harvard 3 - 18 years ago
Harvard is very good at holding for just long enough to slow the player down but not getting a penalty. They are also very good with their sticks.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell 0, Harvard 3 - 18 years ago
Cornell can't play its game when the entire period is one long penalty kill. Obviously.by Tub(a) - Hockey

Pegs takes a STUPID penalty to put CU down 5X3.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Anyone know the OT format for the consolation game? - 18 years ago
Yeah, the PWR calculator includes a tie as an option. I don't think they would do a shootout to determine who the best loser isby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell - Colgate Post Game Thread - 18 years ago
RedARThis is probably mentioned in the PWR threads, but I believe that if Michigan State, Colgate, Bentley, and Boston College win (as well as Cornell), then we end up #4 overall. Wouldn't that require an SCSU victory as well?by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Pittsburgh viewing - 18 years ago
Didn't know there was anyone else I think I might be able to steal my TV from my roommate but I would be flipping between the Cornell game and the Sabres/Sens game. If you can find a sports bar that can guarantee us a TV (try Buffalo Blues) I would be up to meeting you out there. Send me an e-mail if you find one.by Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: Cornell - Colgate Post Game Thread - 18 years ago
ugarteJordan 04 Four penalties in the 3rd period? The hooking with 5 minutes and the interference at the end were absolute BS.I think those were both legit calls. I can't think of a single penalty called against Cornell that wasn't legit, though the early interference (O'Byrne?) should have also had an offsetting diving call. Edit: Also, I thought Colgate played a very clean, though hard hiby Tub(a) - Hockey
Re: 2006 Pairwise Comparisons Projections: the Final Stretch! - 18 years ago
Jeff Hopkins '82Bottom line: Win and we finish 4, 5, or 6 and stay east (jy3's slate is the only way we get a 1 seed). Lose and we drop to 8 and go to Green Bay. Even worse, Sucks can finish as high as 2 by beating us. We can't let that happen. I think this is right. My earlier projections were assuming a Mercyhurst win, which affected Cornell negatively somehow. I think the Bentleyby Tub(a) - Hockey

nyc94RitaTime to play YATC. Now wasn't there some funky scenario if HC loses to Bentley, that the AHA got 2 teams in? What happens of SCSU gets the autobid? Seems like under a few scenarios SCSU (AQ), Holy Cross and Bentley (AQ) can all get in. * Atlantic Hockey Championship game: Bentley defeats Holy Cross. * CCHA Championship game: Miami defeats Michigan State. * CCHA Consolby Tub(a) - Hockey

If you look up about 15 posts I put up a summary. It really comes down to Cornell winning and whatever the bonus is. If Cornell loses, they are most likely west. Al DeFlorioShouldn't we want Minnesota to win? Wouldn't they have a better chance of beating UND tomorrow? I posed that same question in the Other Scores thread. I agree with you, but it is hard not to cheer against Minnesotaby Tub(a) - Hockey

Quick PWR update: Root against North Dakota. They are the only team that can hurt us from my rough calculations. Regardless of who wins this WCHA game or the ECACHL, if North Dakota wins Cornell is heading west on a 3/2/1 bonus. On a 33/22/11 A Cornell win puts them in Albany with MSU at number 5, and a loss puts them west. On any other bonus higher (or lower) than 33/22/11 Cornell appeby Tub(a) - Hockey

Duff's is very, very good. Back OT 13 mins left in the 3rd in Minnesota. WCHL hockey is so disgusting. There is no defense at all. Still 6-5 SCSU.by Tub(a) - Hockey
