Jeff Hopkins '82 Ken711 Johnny 5 Ken711 Worst Cornell defense I've ever seen Cornell play in lacrosse. Bring back Ben DeLuca! Has he served his penalty minutes yet?! Probably not. I think it was non-releasable. Now that he's the coach in waiting at Harvard with all their resources, why would he leave in all reality.by Ken711 - Other Sports

CAS Lax is now 0-5, with 4 blowout losses. Football went 2-5 in the Ivies, & has won a total of 6 league games in 4 years. Basketball, trying to rebuild after Bill Courtney lost 2/3 of his games during his 6-year tenure, went 4-10 in the Ivies. Sad. How did we get to this position? Discuss amongst yourselves. Lack of commitment and support from the President to the Trustees is a good stby Ken711 - Other Sports

mountainred The team closes the season with a 92-78 win at Brown. The story was basically the guys couldn't miss as they shot nearly 60% for the game. With the win, and Princeton's win over Dartmouth, the Big Red finish tied with Brown and the Green for 6th at 4-10 in the league. One bright-ish angle on the season is that next year isn't the complete rebuild I expected. Coming into the sby Ken711 - Other Sports

Trotsky abmarks scoop85 mountainred ugarte scoop85 Interesting news, as next season. The kid appears to be a bit of a late bloomer, and it looks like he'll be a solid Ivy League player. Excited to announce that I have committed to play basketball at Cornell University #gobigred Jim Boeheim's kid! 6'7" but mostly outside game from his highlight reel. Interesting. Nice late pick-up.by Ken711 - Other Sports

Travis Burkett has left the staff for UNLV to serve as their rb coach. That means only two assistant coaches remain that came in when David Archer when he was named head coach. That's a lot of turnover.by Ken711 - Other Sports

MattShaf Very slow start to this year...and it doesnt look like we will have the talent to compete with Top 20 teams. Perhaps its time to re-evaluate the recruiting process, shake up the current recruiting philosophy and rebuild from the base. Talent has slipped in the last few years for sure.by Ken711 - Other Sports

mountainred Ken711 Yes, there's no chance Cornell sneaks in this year. Just like them to finish with a few more wins and hope that Earl can concentrate the recruiting on bringing in some size on the front court. Frontcourt help for Gettings and Warren is important, and doesn't look like it is coming in this class. The two tallest recruits are both 6-5. But the team also needs a true PG and aby Ken711 - Other Sports

mountainred Big Red drop a 69-59 decision at Albany where the Great Danes have 16 offensive rebounds to Cornell's 1. Matt Morgan was out, I assume hurt since he seemed to suffer an injury late in the Lowell game. The Big Red trailed pretty much the entire game, but a late run (largely Hatter) closed the gap to 2. Unfortunately, the Red couldn't get another stop. The last OOC game is agaby Ken711 - Other Sports

CAS How bout hiring Brian Kelly or Jim Tressel to turn around Big Red football? Maybe John Harbaugh would prefer a return to college? With what support are you expecting they would receive from the administration....zero. I will stand by my statement that Dave Archer and his staff need to improve on 4 wins in the last year of his contract or there will be a search for a new coach.by Ken711 - Other Sports

CAS If he accepts another job, that salary will offset part of what Texas is paying him. So Cornell could pay him $1. Maybe Les Miles might also be interested... Doesn't matter Archer is getting the last year of contract next season. Andy should draw a line in wins though, improve on 4 wins or you're out.by Ken711 - Other Sports
