Almost a hour in this game is still in the first quarter, 14-14.

Will Archer ever learn that his end-arounds take forever to develop and NEVER work?
And can we please see Howard Coles in the backfield?

Can we just put an end to the Archer era. 21-14 Columbia

42-40, Columbia needs an onside kick.
Teams are exactly tied, 562-562, in total yards.
We recovered the kick. Phew.

This game was fun as hell and don't let anyone tell you different.
An interception on the first play of the game. Another great diving interception late in the game to slow down the Lions attempt at a comeback.
Three long TD runs on short-yardage situations where the OL just blew open a hole for Walker.
3-3 on 4th down conversions including a 27 yard TD run and a 33 yard completion from the backup QB to the punter.
5 completions over 20 yards for Banks including 2 TD passes (and a rushing TD for Banks to boot).
4 runs of 20+ yards by Walker including 3 TDs.
A stuffed 2 point conversion.
A goal line stand after a first down pass to the 1 yard line that didn't quite hold off the TD but with back-to-back stops at the goal line, Cornell forced Columbia to burn all of its time outs.
BOTH teams fumbled a ball on the goal line into the end zone for a touchback to ruin long drives.
It was an Ivy League game so receivers on both team dropped a lot of catchable balls and DBs got beat deep on floating passes that look hilarious if you mostly watch the NFL.
The Cornell pass defense leaves a lot to be desired, especially on screens. But the run D didn't give up any real breakaways and had its share of stuffs.
Dalton Banks (and a guy whose number I didn't catch) gave my son a high-five on the way back to the field at halftime.
The weather was amazing, especially in the sunny visiting stands at Wein stadium.
A perfect accompaniment to a four point weekend. Let's Go Red.
