I came across this earlier today which seemed to suggest the Cornell ticket allotment is for Section 123, so generally that part of the stadium:by semsox - Other Sports

Though I am wearing my carnelian-colored glasses, I would be pretty surprised if we did not cover 7.5 goals.by semsox - Other Sports
Re: 2022 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament Thread of DESTINY - 1 year ago
Couldn't attend the semifinals (and good thing given the weather delay), but will make the trip for the game tomorrow. It's nice to go into a game without the weight of expectations. I just hope we play up to our capabilities, and we'll see how that measures up to this Maryland juggernaut. LGR!by semsox - Other Sports
Re: 2022 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament Thread of DESTINY - 1 year ago
I'm sure there will be some running commentary on fanlax and here. To keep up to date on the score, the inside lacrosse scoreboard page usually has a pretty barebones box score page that should be reasonably in sync with the game.by semsox - Other Sports
Re: 2022 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament Thread of DESTINY - 1 year ago
I think Georgetown is beatable if we make it past OSU. Always hate having to beat a team twice in a season, but have been encouraged by how we played against Princeton and Yale. Still stand by what I said several weeks ago that the ceiling of this team changed pretty significantly with Blake's injury. Would love to see this team with a healthy Blake and Lombardiby semsox - Other Sports

mike1960 Hoping for a non-stressful win today, but Army is really good. Oof. Best they had was a non-stressful loss. At least they lost the 'right' out of conference game this week. On to Brown next week.by semsox - Other Sports
Re: Cornell lacrosse 2022 - 2 years ago
Issues aside, I continue to think that we haven't played what anyone feels close to our full potential and we're still sitting at 8-1. Gotta keep improving.by semsox - Other Sports
Re: Cornell lacrosse 2022 - 2 years ago
A post on FanLax mentioned it looked like Blake collided with a Penn player and/or had his foot stepped on. Given he was putting no weight on his leg, it would seem best case scenario is a high ankle sprain, which would likely be several weeks. Hope we're all wrong and he's back in just a few weeks.by semsox - Other Sports
Re: Cornell lacrosse 2022 @ Penn 3/26 - 2 years ago
Unfortunately, if Blake's injury was as bad as it looked, I think it's a pretty significant downgrade of the ultimate ceiling of this team.by semsox - Other Sports
Re: March Madness 2022 - Yale game - 2 years ago
ugarte billhoward Cripe, we could've done better, Cornell going in Yale's place. Elis down 46-33 to 3-seed Purdue at the half. In comparison, as a 12-seed in 2010, we had Temple by 8 at the half. Yale may find it's easier to donate a building than a comeback. 2010 1st round Half Final Cornell 37 78 Temple 29 65 The more important Yale game is 12 noon Saturday at Schoeby semsox - Other Sports

Home series losses at Lynah have been rare (last in 2015, and before that 2007). Let's keep it that way.by semsox - Hockey
Re: Men's Basketball 21-22 - 2 years ago
Attended the game in person, and as mentioned, the lack of rebounding at the end killed us. I went in with no expectations, but definitely let myself start believing until it fell away in the last 30 seconds. I don't think it made a difference, but did feel the officiating favored Princeton (I think they had only been called for 3 fouls total with about 5 minutes left in the 2nd). Re: Cornell lacrosse 2022 - 2 years ago
I actually felt Chayse was great early today. The only time I felt the game was in doubt was in the first 20 minutes or so, and he repeatedly made saves in that portion of the game. The offense definitely felt forced at time, but obviously did enough to pull it out. @billhoward's post above mentioned OSU as receiving votes, but they are much more dangerous. Re: Cornell lacrosse 2022 - 2 years ago
Big tests for the team this week. A top 20 Hobart team comes to visit tonight (5 PM game), and then on Saturday a top 10 Ohio State team comes, likely looking for some revenge after losing one of the most entertaining games of the 2020 season (oh what could have been).by semsox - Other Sports

ugarte ugarte Huge win. Great work. I can't believe that I don't think I can go to Columbia. I haven't missed this game in a long time but I don't think I'm going to be able to make it.Actually do think I can go to Columbia. Still not sure if I will because (a) we clinched and (b) EIWA wrestling tournament at the same time. Gameday call. Well, one less decision to make since the Ivy League Toby semsox - Other Sports

Coming down to the wire against Yale. Nursing a 7 point lead at the under 4 in the 2nd half.by semsox - Other Sports
Re: Cornell lacrosse 2022 - 2 years ago
Performance in the Albany game notwithstanding, I think I agree with Tim that FOGO should at least not be a weakness. Petraikis' and Psyllos' pedigrees are such that we shouldn't be having a repeat of our faceoff woes from the 2017-2019 years. Biggest question for me is how our close D and goalie play hold up, since I expect our offense to be just fine.by semsox - Other Sports
Re: Men's Basketball 21-22 - 2 years ago
Disappointing how league play has gone, but have to say, I think this team has still exceeded my expectations overall. And with the play of the underclassmen, have to think the next few years we'll be pretty competitive.by semsox - Other Sports
Re: Men's Basketball 21-22 - 2 years ago
Gross game so far. For us being so up tempo, just putrid possessions in the 2nd half. I think we should be even more aggressive.by semsox - Other Sports

Flew under my radar, but I guess the make up game with Columbia was held this afternoon at Newman. Game flow made it look like a pretty comfortable win, 88-75.by semsox - Other Sports

Without commenting on any other aspect of the game, I will say, the officiating down the stretch of this one has left something to be desired.by semsox - Other Sports
Re: Men's Basketball 21-22 - 2 years ago
Have to say, this team being competitive and fun was not on my radar this year, and it's been a really present surprise. Hope they can keep it up going into Ivy play, as I'm still somewhat skeptical of their quality of opponent thus far. 7-1 with W's over Kenpom #'s: 314 (Binghamton), 291 (Lafayette), 132 (Colgate), N/A (Wells College), 226 (St. Frances), 276 (Canisius), 315 (Coppin St.)by semsox - Other Sports

marty upprdeck seems like people want it both ways.. Do they only except the highest qualified kids? Do they except a mixed pool of kids? It like if you go to a HS that has no AP courses and you get to college and some kids come in with 15-20 credits is that fair?
